Native CAD Platform

PTC Creo Parametric Design Services

Native Creo parts, assemblies and drawings — family tables for part families, sheet metal, skeleton-driven top-down assemblies and drawings with GD&T — delivered to your Creo version and organised for Windchill. For OEMs and machinery companies standardised on PTC.

Working In PTC Creo

Creo Modelling Built On Intent, Not Just Geometry

Creo rewards disciplined modelling: relations, parameters, family tables and skeletons that make a model robust to change. We build Creo models that way — intent captured in relations and parameters, families in family tables, large assemblies driven from skeletons — so your engineers inherit something they can keep developing rather than a static shape.

Our Creo work includes gear and drive design alongside general mechanical modelling and drafting, and we deliver drawings from the native model so views, dimensions and tables stay associative.

  • Part, assembly and drawing modes; multi-body and skeleton-based top-down design
  • Family tables, relations and parameters for part families and configurable designs
  • Sheet metal with bend tables and flat-pattern export
  • Standard hardware libraries and your custom libraries
  • Drawings with GD&T, repeat regions for BOMs and your drawing formats
  • Creo Simulate for first-pass checks (detailed FEA and CFD in Ansys)

Native files we deliver

PRT · ASM · DRW

Plus STEP AP214/AP242, IGES, Parasolid, DXF and PDF for anyone outside PTC Creo.

Versions

Delivered to the Creo release you specify. Creo can open files from earlier releases but not later ones, so we confirm your version and work in it; neutral STEP is supplied where needed.

Handover to your PDM

File naming, parameters, revision and family-table instance names follow your scheme so files check in to Windchill or your PDM cleanly; assemblies are delivered as a complete workspace package.

Translation & Limits

What Travels, And What Does Not

Native Creo files carry features, relations, parameters and family tables. STEP and IGES exports keep geometry only; AP242 is used where PMI must travel.

Models from SolidWorks, Inventor, Solid Edge or NX can be imported as solids; where an editable Creo model is required we rebuild native features and quote it as conversion.

Drawings do not translate between platforms; on migration to Creo we regenerate drawings from the native model.

Standards

Drawn To Your Market's Standard

  • ASME Y14.5-2018 (R2024) for North American drawings
  • ISO GPS (ISO 1101, ISO 8015, ISO 22081) and BS 8888:2025 for ISO markets
  • AWS A2.4:2020 or ISO 2553:2019 weld symbols
  • Your own template, title block, layers and properties

FAQ

PTC Creo Questions

Which Creo version do you deliver?
The version you specify, confirmed in the quote, because Creo does not open files from later releases.
Do you use family tables and relations?
Yes, wherever a family or a driven dimension exists, with the parameters named and documented so your team can extend them.
Can you build skeleton-driven assemblies?
Yes. Large assemblies are driven from skeleton models so layout changes propagate controllably.
Are files Windchill-ready?
We follow your naming, parameter and revision scheme and deliver complete workspace packages so check-in is straightforward.
Can you convert our SolidWorks or Inventor data to native Creo?
Yes, as a conversion job with native features rebuilt and a check record per file.
Do you run Creo Simulate?
For quick first-pass checks. Detailed structural, thermal and CFD studies are performed in Ansys and fully reported.
