How We Work

A Clear Process, So Outsourcing Doesn't Feel Like A Risk

Most problems with outsourced engineering come from unclear inputs, unchecked outputs and surprises on the invoice. Our process is built to remove all three. Here is exactly what happens from the moment you send a job to the moment the files are yours.

Six Steps

From First Email To Final Files

The same sequence on every job, whether it is one drawing or a complete machine design package.

01

Send the job

Upload drawings, a sketch, a scan or a description on the quote form, or email us. Tell us the CAD platform, the drawing standard and when you need it. An engineer, not a sales desk, reads it.

02

NDA and scope

If you want an NDA first, you get it first. We then confirm the inputs we need, list what you will receive and send an itemised quote with a timeline, usually within one business day.

03

Inputs and query sheet

We check your inputs before modelling starts. Anything missing or contradictory goes on a short query sheet so assumptions are agreed, not guessed.

04

Modelling and drafting

Work is done in your native CAD with your templates, title blocks and bend tables. On longer jobs you see progress at agreed checkpoints, not only at the end.

05

Second-engineer check

An engineer who did not do the work checks the package against your inputs and the standard: dimensions, tolerances, BOM, flat patterns, weld symbols, file structure. The check record ships with the files.

06

Delivery and handover

Native files, neutral formats and PDFs are delivered through a shared link with a delivery note. Everything we produced is yours; nothing is held back or kept on a licence.

What You Send

Inputs We Work From

We can start from very little, but the more of this we have, the fewer questions we ask:

  • Existing drawings (PDF, DWG, DXF) or native CAD files
  • Sketches, photographs, marked-up prints or a written brief
  • Scan data (STL, OBJ, PLY, E57) or measured samples
  • Your drawing template, title block, layer and bend standards
  • Materials, loads, duty, environment and the standard to draw to
  • The CAD platform and version your team opens files in

What You Receive

Deliverables, Every Time

Deliverables are listed on the quote so there is no debate later. A typical package contains:

  • Native models and drawings in SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, Solid Edge, NX or AutoCAD
  • Neutral formats: STEP, IGES, Parasolid, DXF and PDF
  • BOMs, cut lists, flat patterns and weld maps where relevant
  • Calculation or FEA reports with assumptions stated
  • A check record showing what was verified against your inputs
  • A delivery note listing every file and its revision

Confidentiality & Data Handling

Your IP Stays Yours

Plain commitments, written into every engagement.

NDA before files

Your NDA or ours, signed before any drawing, model or concept changes hands. Not a special request — standard practice.

Need-to-know access

Only the engineers on your job see your files. Uploads through this site are stored outside the public web folder and deleted on request.

Ownership in writing

Everything we produce for you is your property on payment. We do not reuse your designs, show them as portfolio work or name you as a client without written consent.

Export-controlled data

Tell us before sending anything subject to ITAR, EAR or similar controls. We will say honestly whether we can take the work and under what conditions.

Time-zone overlap

We work Monday – Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM · Weekend: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM IST: overlapping UK and European mornings and most of the Australian day; US clients get overnight turnaround and early-morning calls.

One named engineer

You speak to the engineer doing the work, by email, call or video, not a ticket queue or account manager.

Engagement Models

Three Ways To Work With Us

Pick what fits the job; many clients start with a fixed-price trial and move to a retainer once the workflow is proven.

Fixed-price project

Defined scope, itemised quote, agreed delivery date. Best for drawing packages, conversions, reverse engineering and FEA studies with clear inputs.

Hourly with a cap

For design development and jobs where the scope will evolve. You see hours against the cap every week and nothing is exceeded without approval.

Dedicated engineer

A named engineer working on your projects on a monthly basis, inside your CAD, your PDM and your standards — an extension of your drawing office.

Revisions

What Is Free, What Is Quoted

Anything that does not match the agreed brief, inputs or standard is corrected at no charge, full stop. Changes to the brief after approval — a new load case, a redesigned part, a different standard — are quoted before we start. You will never discover extra charges on the invoice.

Payment

Your Currency, Clear Terms

Quotes are itemised in USD, GBP, EUR, AUD, CAD or INR and paid by international bank transfer against invoice. Larger design projects run on milestones tied to deliverables, so payment follows progress you can see.

Try Us On One Job

Send a single drawing package, a conversion or a scan-to-CAD part. Judge the checking, the communication and the files before committing anything larger.
