Native CAD Platform
Solid Edge Design & Drafting Services
Native Solid Edge parts, sheet metal, assemblies and draft files — synchronous or ordered modelling as your team prefers, Frame design for weldments, Standard Parts hardware and drawings with GD&T — delivered to your Solid Edge version and organised for Teamcenter. For machinery and fabrication companies on the Siemens mid-range platform.
Working In Solid Edge
Synchronous Or Ordered — We Work The Way Your Team Does
Solid Edge teams split on method: synchronous for fast edits of imported and legacy geometry, ordered for history-driven design, and often both in the same part. We match your preference per project and keep it consistent, because a model built one way and edited the other is where Solid Edge files become fragile.
The sheet metal environment and Frame design suit our fabrication and machine-frame work, and we use your material tables and structural libraries so flat patterns and cut lists match your production.
- Part, sheet metal, assembly and draft documents; synchronous and ordered modelling
- Sheet metal with material tables, bend equations and flat-pattern DXF export
- Frame design and weldments with your structural libraries
- Family of Parts and variable tables for families
- Standard Parts hardware and your custom libraries
- Draft files with GD&T, parts lists and your templates; Simulation for first-pass checks (detailed FEA in Ansys)
Native files we deliver
PAR · PSM · ASM · DFT
Plus STEP AP214/AP242, IGES, Parasolid, DXF and PDF for anyone outside Solid Edge.
Versions
Delivered to the Solid Edge version you specify; Solid Edge opens earlier-version files but not later, so we confirm your release before starting and supply STEP where needed.
Handover to your PDM
File naming, properties and revision follow your scheme so files check in to Teamcenter or your data management without broken links; assemblies are delivered with Pack and Go.

What Travels, And What Does Not
Native Solid Edge files carry features (ordered), synchronous face sets, sheet metal and frame data. STEP and Parasolid exports keep geometry only; Parasolid is a natural exchange with NX.
Imported models from other platforms are edited efficiently in synchronous mode; where you need a history-based model we rebuild ordered features and quote it as conversion.
Draft files do not translate from other CAD platforms; on migration we regenerate drafts from the native model.
Standards
Drawn To Your Market's Standard
- ASME Y14.5-2018 (R2024) for North American drawings
- ISO GPS (ISO 1101, ISO 8015, ISO 22081) and BS 8888:2025 for ISO markets
- AWS A2.4:2020 or ISO 2553:2019 weld symbols
- Your own template, title block, layers and properties
