Native CAD Platform
Autodesk Inventor Design & Drafting Services
Native Inventor parts, assemblies and drawings — sheet metal with your styles, Frame Generator weldments, iParts and iAssemblies for families, Content Center hardware and drawings with GD&T — delivered to the Inventor version you run and organised for Vault. For machine builders and fabricators standardised on Autodesk.
Working In Autodesk Inventor
Inventor Work That Fits Your Autodesk Workflow
Teams on Inventor usually have an Autodesk ecosystem around it — Vault, AutoCAD and sometimes Fusion-based downstream tools. We deliver native Inventor files set up for that ecosystem: project files, libraries and styles consistent with yours, Content Center hardware rather than imported fasteners, and drawings that keep their associativity with the model.
Inventor's sheet metal and Frame Generator modules suit the fabrication and machine-frame work we do most, and we use them as intended — with your sheet metal styles and your structural shapes — so flat patterns and cut lists come out right for your shop.
- Part, assembly and drawing documents; multi-body and skeletal modelling
- Sheet metal with your styles, bend tables and flat-pattern DXF export
- Frame Generator weldments with your structural shape library
- iParts, iAssemblies and iLogic for families and configurable products
- Content Center hardware and custom libraries
- IDW/DWG drawings with GD&T, parts lists and revision tables; Inventor Stress Analysis for first-pass checks
Native files we deliver
IPT · IAM · IDW / DWG
Plus STEP AP214/AP242, IGES, Parasolid, DXF and PDF for anyone outside Autodesk Inventor.
Versions
Delivered to the Inventor release you specify. Inventor cannot save to earlier releases, so we confirm your version before starting; if you run an older release than ours we work in a matching version or supply STEP alongside.
Handover to your PDM
Project (.ipj) structure, file naming, iProperties and library paths follow your scheme so files check in to Vault without broken links. Assemblies are delivered with Pack and Go.

What Travels, And What Does Not
Native Inventor files carry features, iProperties, sheet metal and frame data. STEP and Parasolid exports keep geometry only; AP242 is used where PMI must travel to another platform.
SolidWorks, Creo, Solid Edge and NX models can be imported through AnyCAD or neutral formats as solids; where you need an editable Inventor model we rebuild it as native features and quote it as conversion.
Drawings do not translate between platforms; on migration to Inventor we regenerate drawings from the native model.
Standards
Drawn To Your Market's Standard
- ASME Y14.5-2018 (R2024) for North American drawings
- ISO GPS (ISO 1101, ISO 8015, ISO 22081) and BS 8888:2025 for ISO markets
- AWS A2.4:2020 or ISO 2553:2019 weld symbols
- Your own template, title block, layers and properties
